HV1000 is a stabilised high voltage supply
ranging 0-1000V (optionally 0-2kV/3kV / 4kV/5kV) with current
limiting, indication of output current and voltage, and
current limiting status indicator (LED, relay).
Power Supply and Start
The device is fed by +24V (± 10%) DC power supply.
After connecting the supply voltage the device is
switched on automatically (indicator lights are in operation etc.);
high voltage (HV) is present on the output terminals only if the
START button is in the switched-on position (locking button).
This allows operating the device in “instant” HV supply mode or
in manual mode with HV supply switched on and off. Externally,
the device may be switched on (as an option to using the START button)
by closing a contact between the START and +5V terminals).
Current Limiting Feature
Current limiting status is detected and indicated by the device
in two possible ways:
Option A (manufacturer setup)
Relay operates in a temporary mode, i.e. when current limiting
is in use or not used relay contacts RLC ---- RL1 or RLC --- RL2
close or open, respectively. At the same time REL indicator lights
up and voltage appears (+24V against GND) on terminal P
(disappearing from terminal N at the same time).
After the current limiting is no longer used all the above
described outputs return to their state as before the current
limiting. AUX indicator lights on and remains lighted even after
current limiting. This serves as a long-term indication of the fact
that current limiting had been used (the feature can be used for
instance for long-term observation etc.). AUX can be turned off
by pressing the RES button (or it can be turned off externally
by closing a contact between the RES and +5V terminals).
Option B (internal setup needs to be changed - jumper).
This option is opposite to the previous one, i.e.:
Relay operates in a permanent mode, i.e. when current
limit is in operation or out of operation relay contacts
RLC ---- RL1 or RLC --- RL2 close or open, respectively.
At the same time REL indicator lights up and voltage appears
(+24V against GND) on terminal P
(disappearing from terminal N at the same time).
After the current limit is no longer in operation,
the relay remains closed until it is reset by pushing a
button or by applying external signal. AUX indicator
lights up only when current limiting is in use and switches
off immediately after the current limiting is no longer in use.
